Our Story
A Studio Born From Craft, Built on a Thousand Years of Tradition
After arriving in the United States, Mauricio Carchi began working at an established stained glass studio — immersing himself in every aspect of the craft. From cutting and painting glass to mastering traditional materials like lead came and copper foil, those years became the foundation of everything MC Stained Glass stands for today.
In 2000, with the experience and conviction that stained glass had become the work of his life, Mauricio founded MC Stained Glass. The studio was built on a simple belief: to walk a path of integrity and beauty that stretches back a thousand years — and to bring that same standard to every commission, restoration, and repair.
Today the studio serves clients across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and beyond — fabricating original stained glass, restoring historic pieces, repairing Tiffany-style lamps, and more. Every project receives the same hands-on care that has defined MC Stained Glass from day one.
