Cathedral Rose Window
Project Overview
A monumental 14-foot rose window for St. Michael's Cathedral.
Commissioned for the centennial restoration of St. Michael's Cathedral, this 14-foot rose window reinterprets classical Gothic iconography through a contemporary lens. Over 3,200 individual pieces of hand-blown antique glass were assembled using traditional lead came techniques, with each color chosen to cast a specific quality of light throughout the nave at different times of day. The result is a living artwork that transforms with the sun.
